Madeline Hauptman's Book Art

Spring's Bright Colors celebrates the return of Spring.  This hardcover children's book was written 
by Larry Milstein, an 11-year-old author. The illustrations are oil paintings by Madeline Hauptman, 
who had read Larry’s extraordinary poem and was inspired to bring his words to life.  

The colorful artwork not only captures the essence of Spring, but also includes a playful seagull 
named Cory.  Readers will delight in searching for him in each painting.  The 24 pages will inspire 
readers, from ages 5 to 95, to maintain the energizing spirit of Spring year-round.

descriptive words such as lush, bunching, cloaked and many others from the poetic text are defined
